PS4 FFXIV Lag 'fix' [not for everyone]... For the last several months or so I have been playing FFXIV on my PS4 and the one constant I've had is lagging. Sometimes it's quite severe (up to 20-30 seconds of no movement or activity). I've been struggling with an issue with FFXIV where in Borderless / Windowed it causes my entire system to hang on other applications, browers to completely lag. For example, AMD software will go to "not responding", corsair Icue will go grey and mouse macros no longer work, browers will skip in 5-10 segments, twitch app will freeze and go not responding.HARDWARE ISSUES Based off my specs, you can see that i have a significant amount of RAM, a strong processor, a good connection, and an just slightly better than average GPU. Based off this, I believe that FFXIV relies significantly on your processor. Those who I spoke with that lived in the US, but were still getting lag, typically had weaker CPUs and GPUs.
