'Quick' TL;DR for those with better things to do than read something about blowing yourself up. Exodia contagion fires a two part explosion similar to lenz but with damage falloff. The projectile can trigger additional damage on the target it hits.

To fix this, it's seems like they decided to not influence it with Zaw parts anymore, rather that copying the exact stats of the Zaw which is really weird. So I bought a maxed exodia contagion and upon reading again, I'm realizing it says it gains damage AFTER reaching 30m. Since most of my shots will probably be under 30m, does that mean a rank 0 contagion will yeild the same results as a rank 3? You don’t need to keep sliding, you just need to be sliding for the time when you actually hit the heavy attack button. Also to not switch to your main weapon, you need to actually switch to your melee, not the quick swap. This is done by holding down your weapon switch button, F by default. Pick up enough to get it to rank 3 especially considering how easy mother tokens are to get. I've still managed to kill Eidolon Hydrolist with Exodia Contagion nearly a week ago. It has not been touched since U28.3. It is still worth getting, it makes profit taker a breeze solo.

Came back to WF recently after a long hiatus, and went Eidolon hunting just to get a feel and see how my old setup fares. Someone mentioned Exodia Contagion, and the Sacrificial mods got buffed so I gave it a try a few nights later after preparing my zaw. Definitely more damage than my usual Rubico and a change of pace.
